1960’s Vintage Guitar Demo – Blues solo in G – Fender Bronco amp

This is a video of some G blues with a Guitar that a generous customer donated to the store. I’m not sure what make it is but I’m guessing it’s a late 60’s/early 70’s budget Guitar. It was in unplayable condition when I got it but after some TLC it plays great although it isn’t capable of holding tune too long and the intonation is not adjustable. I really like the sound of the pickups on this. One of the best features of this Guitar is that someone at some point soldered a penny into the D string machine head as a fix. Feel free to come by JR Guitars and check this thing out, it’ll always be here because it’s not for sale! This clips shows the amazing Ibanez IMG2010 X-ING vintage 24-pin guitar synthesizer controller used with the Roland GM-70 to drive a Roland XV-5080 with MIDI, and then in the second half, the IMG2010 is used with a BX-13-VX connected to a modern Roland GI-20. The GI-20 is connected to a Mac Pro computer running various software synthesizers: Native Instrument Reaktor, Kontakt, Arturia V2600, etc.

SOLD Dual Pickup Harness (2 Pickups In Metal/Chrome Harness – 1 Goldfoil PU, 1 Standard (Screws) PU). Make/Model: Unconfirmed (apx. Teisco, but this is not confirmed since no name/number is printed on the item – Could possibly be Teisco Del Ray, DeArmond, Guyatone, Kay, Stratotone, Silvertone, Harmony, Supro, National, Valco, Airline, etc.). Goldfoil PU reads 5.82 Ohms, and Standard (Screws) PU reads 4.79 Ohms with Multimeter (* see video).

Early 1960’s single-pickup Kay Value Leader vintage guitar. Made in USA. Plugged straight into the vibrato channel of a Fender Super Reverb ‘65 Reissue. Tapping on homemade wooden stompbox plugged into the normal channel of amplifier. Audio quality is limited since only using the built-in computer microphone.
