It is of course very important to keep in mind how much money you can spend on the instrument. Quality is definitely also worth considering. Low cost is no guarantee that the instrument you are considering is indeed a decent guitar. Do not forget that a cheap instrument loses value faster and reselling it will not work as well as with a more expensive one.

Research is possible with the click of your mouse so make good use of it. Visiting several music stores will also reveal some of the real important aspects you need to know when you want to buy a guitar. Taking somebody with you who has experience with this is definitely a wise decision when you tour the music stores of your city. Do not be overwhelmed by the smooth talking of a sales man at a music store.

Trying the instrument out at an abnormal low volume like most first time buyers do is not the best idea.

Do not bias your decision by playing something you do not like anyway. More knowledge will lead to a better decision. Do not stop and decide too early and even when you think you know what you want it does not mean you are really done with the selection process. Double check all the details of the instrument that is on top of your list by reading reviews.
Most musicians plan on keeping a purchased guitar for an extended period of time. Feeling comfortable with it and be able to afford it are necessary. Research is the key if you want to be a satisfied guitar owner.

After a proper investigation is a good idea to check several instruments. The tone will change when the volume setting is too low and make a decision, what you hear, if not based on cuts too low is a recipe for disappointment.

i have the flu and im bored to death!!!! dont answer if your going to make a stupid or unnessary comment please
my name is willow michelle. im sixteen and live in los angeles. my parents are divorced and both remarried. my dad is a music producer and my mom is a makeup artist. i play the accoustic guitar and sing. i go to music school every saturday and thursday. i love going to underground gigs, going to Guitar Center, and pretty much living life ![]()
i dont fit in with the preppy rich kids at my school and i hangout with the artsy kids. i have long brown hair and im pretty petite, 5′4 and 105 pounds. i love doc martins, converse, kitson, urban outfitters, and vintage stores. i have fourteen siblings and only one is older then 18. my parents are pretty chill and are up for anything. i love going downtown to art galleries and coffee shops. i suck at school and hope music is my future. what do you think of my life?
mrs. beier, my parents are whacked! my dad is this tall and skinny guy who is covered in tatoos and wears clothes that teenage punk rockers would wear. its mortifying! and my mom is short with spiky blonde hair and overdone makeup and she too dresses in clothes meant for a sixteen year old. they both are my life and i love them dearly but they are just a little excentric!
im dah best-seriously your correcting my grammar when you can’t even spell ‘the’ right? wow dude
i was just asking because i am bored and sick!

ok. you know how you generally get a certain guitar depending on the type of music you want to play? well what if you did it backwards. you have a guitar and you want to know the best type of music to play on it. like a martin acoustic would probably be bluegrass, that sorta thing. what would be the best music for a 1963 gibson es-125t? hollowbody? and what would be the best amp to get for that music type? aint got to be new cuz i can find vintage.
i didnt say martins were ONLY bluegrass. the word only was not used. at all. you can use a martin to play classical if you want. hell, you can use a classical guitar to play rock. but its not exactly ideal. not saying that martin is bad to use with rock, because its not. its great. but its BEST with bluegrass, thats all, just best. defenently not ONLY for bluegrass. i use mine for everything acoustic. but again. it works best with bluegrass. and all in all. its not a FACT that it works best with anything. just the opinion of myself and many others.

Can someone tell me what guitars Martin Luthor Mccoy(JoJo) uses in the movie “Across the Universe?”?
I believe one of them was a Gibson Flying V and I think the other was a vintage Fender Strat, but I’m not really sure!
